Play Ludo without internet
Step-by-step: turn on a hotspot, create a Mesh Ludo room, scan the QR code on each phone and start playing Ludo with no internet connection.
1. Prepare while online
Open toolsedits.com/ludo on every phone once while you still have internet, and add it to your home screen. The app shell is then cached for offline use.
2. Share a local network
Connect every phone to the same Wi-Fi, or turn on a hotspot on one phone and connect the others to it. Mobile data and internet can be off.
3. Create the room
On the host phone tap Create Room, then Invite player. A QR code with a real WebRTC offer appears.
4. Join by QR
On the joining phone tap Join Room and scan the host's QR code. It shows a reply QR — the host scans that. When the DataChannel opens, the player appears in the lobby. Repeat for up to 4 players.
5. Ready and start
Players pick a free colour and tap Ready. The host taps Start Game. The host generates every dice roll with secure randomness and all phones stay in sync by state hash.
