This speed test measures your actual download throughput, upload throughput, and ping latency in real time. It runs directly in your browser, works on Wi-Fi, mobile data, or Ethernet, and gives you the same metrics ISPs use to define their plans.
Use it to confirm you're getting the speed you pay for, troubleshoot a slow connection, or compare different times of day to spot peak-hour throttling.
We pick a nearby test server and start measuring immediately — no signup, no install.
Download, upload, and ping are measured in sequence so you get a full picture of your connection.
Compare your numbers against your ISP plan; rerun a few times for a reliable average.
We measure your real download and upload throughput against a nearby server using the same browser-based methodology as Ookla and Fast.com. Run 2–3 tests at different times and average the results for the most reliable picture of your connection.
For browsing and HD streaming, 25 Mbps is comfortable. For 4K streaming or video calls on multiple devices, aim for 100 Mbps+. Gaming cares more about latency (ping under 30 ms) than raw speed. Upload matters for video calls, livestreaming, and cloud backups — 10 Mbps+ is solid.
ISPs sell peak speeds, but real throughput is capped by Wi-Fi (especially older 2.4 GHz routers), distance to the router, peak-hour congestion, VPNs, and the device's own network card. Run the test on Ethernet next to the router to compare against your plan's headline number.
Yes. The test runs in your phone's browser with no app install. We also include GPS-based speed bands (walking, car, bus) so you can sanity-check coverage while moving.
Ping is the round-trip time for a packet, in milliseconds. Low ping (<30 ms) means snappy gaming, fluid video calls, and responsive cloud apps. High ping (>100 ms) causes lag even when bandwidth is high.
We display your IP and ISP locally in the browser for context. Results are not saved to a personal profile and you don't need an account to use the test.
